Bristol Zoo is the worlds oldest local zoo and the fifth oldest zoo on the planet! Henry Riley, who was a local physician, opened its doors in 1835. He served on the Clifton and West of England Zoological Society. Since opening the zoo has undergone many changes and renovations.
There are nine under cover animal houses at Bristol Zoo, which is weather friendly. The visitors of Bristol Zoo can experience many attractions at the zoo such as:
